Cheesy Dick has a moderate 16% average THC content. It is almost pure Indica, which means that although the level of pain relief is exactly equivalent to a Sativa with the same level of THC, the high is more mellow and chilled than upbeat and euphoric. This then transitions into a super-relaxing full-body stone which eases away all aches and pains. There are a couple of important points to note before you use this strain. The first is that it is known as a quick mover so you can expect to feel its benefits almost immediately. The second is that this strain will leave you both seriously couch-locked and seriously in need of food and drink. It is therefore a very good idea to be prepared for this and have some healthy snacks and water close at hand. All in all, Cheesy Dick is generally best kept for night time use and is an effective treatment for mild to moderate physical and emotional conditions and also insomnia.
While we’ve been unable to find official information for Cheesy Dick, we do know that parent strain Moby Dick was purportedly named because it gave a whale of a yield and while Big Buddha Cheese doesn’t give the same extraordinary quantities of bud, it isn’t exactly a poor yielder either. Therefore, based on genetics and feedback from those who have experience with the strain, we’d expect it to offer up to 600g/m2 indoors and up to 1Kg per marijuana plant outdoors.
Indoors, Cheesy Dick has a flowering time of around 8 to 9 weeks and outdoors it will be ready around the end of September or start of October. Again, there is no official information that we can find about its expected height range, it is simply described as being of medium height, however based on genetics we would expect its growing range to be between about 1.5M (indoor minimum) to 2M (outdoor maximum) and we would not rule out the occasional instance of an individual marijuana plant growing even taller if growing conditions are particularly good.
Overall, however, this strain does grow much more like the Indica it (effectively) is than like a Sativa, which means that you’re going to have to remember to leave enough room for each marijuana plant to spread outwards as well as grow upwards without bumping into other plants (or anything else). On the plus side, provided that you pay attention to your marijuana basics, especially ventilation, you should have a straightforward grow. We’d highly recommend putting effective odour control measure in place because this strain can get really pungent especially towards the latter end of the flowering period. You’ll also need to remember that while this strain isn’t hugely big on the general scale of marijuana growing, any plant which delivers these sorts of yields is going to have a big appetite for light, water and nutrients and you will need to ensure that it is kept satisfied.
When you can your first sniff of Cheesy Dick, you may get the impression that this strain is one for die-hard skunk fans only as the aroma is about as dank and pungent as you can get with more than a hint of hash spiciness. Interestingly, however, the flavour is much lighter and smoother, more like cream cheese served with fresh fruits, and while the hash spices are still there, they’re nowhere near as strong as you’d think from the aroma.
Cheesy Dick develops nugs which look rather like small chilli peppers (although thankfully they don’t taste anything like small chilli peppers). The orange hairs do help to make the nugs look a bit more like actual cheese, although we suspect most people will be more interested in the coating of THC crystals. These nugs are dense enough for a grinder to be clearly the best option for breaking them open (and we tend to recommend the use of grinders in any case).
