This strain has an average of 16% to 20% THC along with around 2% to 3% CBD. On the one hand, this sort of THC level is pretty moderate by the standards of modern cannabis. On the other hand, it’s still plenty strong enough to provide meaningful pain relief for a wide variety of medical conditions. It’s also enough to create a happy, energetic head buzz, which is really more of a lift than a proper high. Again, this will probably be just perfect for a wide range of people.
After the head high, you’ll transition into a deeply comfortable and relaxing full-body stone. At this sort of CBD level, take couchlock as read. The THC level might not be enough to bring on full-blown marijuana munchies. It is, however, probably enough to bring on a bit of an appetite (cannabis cravings?). That means it’s probably a good idea to have some snacks and drinks handy.
Overall, the CBD level suggests that Cosmic Bomb Auto is probably best suited to use in the evening. In fact, it would make a great strain for treating insomnia. If you want (or need to) use it in the daytime, make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to recover from the effects of the stone before doing anything complicated, particularly driving.
The yield from Cosmic Bomb Auto is actually very impressive for an autoflowering strain, even a modern one. Indoors you could collect up to 600g/m² and outdoors you could be looking at up to 200g per marijuana plant.
Part of the reason for this is that Cosmic Bomb Auto is on the taller side for an autoflowering strain. In other words, it has more room for bud. That said, it’s still fairly compact in comparison with your average marijuana plant. Indoors, it has a growing range of about 0.9M to 1.4M. Outdoors you can expect your plants to reach the upper part of this range. In fact, you may come across the occasional marijuana plant which will grow even taller.
Most of this growth will come during the flowering period, so resist the temptation to overfill your growing space while the plants are still small. Also remember that this strain will want to grow outwards as well as upwards. It’s a good idea to allow at least 1.5 metres of floor space per plant. Then you’ll need to allow space for ventilation and access.
In short, if you’ve already managed at least one autoflowering grow, you’ll probably be absolutely fine with this strain. If you’ve already managed at least one photoperiod grow, then you’ll probably find this strain very easy to manage due to its robustness and unfussy nature.
Another point to note is that Cosmic Bomb Auto really likes its nutrients. Some people might call it greedy. On the plus side, this does make it quite difficult for beginners to kill it with overfeeding.
In fact, it’s pretty hard for beginners to go wrong with this strain at all. Not only is it autoflowering, it also has solid resistance to mould, diseases and pests. Essentially, as long as you remember your marijuana basics, you should be just fine with this strain.
Cosmic Bomb Auto completes its entire life cycle in about 65 days. That’s seed to bud. As this is an autoflowering strain, there is no outdoor harvest period per se. Obviously, in practical terms, your local weather will guide you as to when is a good time to grow (and when not to).
Ideally, you want your plants to be outdoors when it’s warm, dry and sunny. Out of all these points, dry is the most important. This strain has really dense buds. If water gets into them, then they are going to need a very long time to dry out. While they’re wet, they’re vulnerable to mould, which means you could lose your whole harvest.
This point is so important that if the rain does get at your plants during the flowering period, you may, literally, want to take a battery-operated hairdryer and dry them off manually as quickly as you can. Use the lowest heat setting and work around your buds rather than pointing the nozzle at them.
The taste of Cosmic Bomb Auto is actually very down-to-earth, literally. The base is robust earth and this is topped with fresh, fruity sweetness. Interestingly, there’s a hint of Skunk on the exhale, although it’s not really noticeable in the aroma.
The THC crystals on Cosmic Bomb Auto do glitter a bit like stars. Admittedly there’s nothing particularly cosmic about the fiery orange hairs or bright green leaves, but they still look very pretty. The nugs are dense and sticky enough to hold their shape. You could probably do a decent job of breaking them up with your fingers, but we’d still recommend a grinder.
