Cream Cookies is high in THC. We know that the original GSC had up to 28% THC and that the Fast Buds GSC Auto version had 22% THC. So we’d anticipate that this variation on it would have around 20% to 22% THC. Fast Buds has also indicated that Cream Cookies has low CBD. After one or two tokes, the user will feel upbeat and euphoric. Then will gradually transition into the classic Indica body buzz without being couch locked. If you smoke or vape any more than this, then the Indica genetics will start to make themselves felt rather more and can leave you feeling sleepy. Regardless of when you smoke it, you can expect to have your appetite stimulated, so be ready!
Cream Cookies has a large yield. We’d suspect that Fast Buds are basing their “XL” statement on what is possible with this strain in the hands of experienced growers. Who have the skills and time to coax the best out of their plant,s with nutrients and such training as autoflowering strains will allow. Having said that, when you’re looking at a strain which is autoflowering, short and quick, we’d say even 100g/m2 or 100g per plant was still a pretty decent result.
Cream Cookies has a total growing time of about 11 weeks, seed to bud, of which about 9 weeks is actual flowering time. This strain will grow perfectly happily indoors or outdoors and as it is autoflowering. There is no specific harvest time as such, you just need warm, dry weather. This strain is really adaptable in terms of your choice of growing medium and light set up. So, in principle, you could bring in your harvest even more quickly if you went for a hydro grow. But we suspect that most people will settle for more standard options, such as plain soil.
Remember that although Cream Cookies doesn’t do much growing upwards, growing between 60cm to 90cm. Cream Cookies certainly likes to grow outwards and can get very bushy. If you want to maximize your yields, you could try your hand at defoliation and low stress training, to give your plants maximum exposure to the available light.
Overall, this strain is very robust, resilient to mould, diseases and pests and generally beginner-friendly. It is surprisingly greedy so if you want to get the best out of it, then you’re going to need to give it plenty of nutrients. Be ready to flush those nutrients out before harvesting. If you can manage this, you may well get those “XL” harvests, but even if you can’t you should still get a moderate yield.
While Cream Cookies may be simple to grow, it’s flavour is as rich and complex as that of its famous ancestor. There are base notes of skunk, wood and earth, which combine seamlessly rather than fighting for dominance. Some people think the base notes are like a very high quality, rich, creamy coffee. Top notes are of herbs and citrus. The aroma could pass for a very exotic coffee, one blended with herbs and lemon peel.
Cream Cookies is one pretty strain, especially if you flush it before harvesting. This can do a great job of highlighting the red, yellow and/or purple colours splashed around the green leaves and buds. You also get orange pistils for a real sunshine effect. Last but by no means least, with so much THC, you’d expect plenty of trichomes for glitter and shine and indeed you’d be right.
