White Diesel has an average of 20% to 22% THC, which might seem to suggest this strain is intended for use in the day time. The fact that it also has a whole 1% CBD means that White Diesel is typically recommended for use at night. Although White Diesel does indeed deliver the classic Sativa, it also has enough CBD to make you feel deeply relaxed and ready for sleep. In other words, White Diesel is a great strain to choose if you want something which can both lift you out of pain and soothe you into tranquility and rest.
White Diesel marijuana seeds produce reasonable yields, in line with what you would expect from the parentage. Indoors you could collect up to 400g/m2. Outdoors, you could harvest as much as 500g of bud.
White Diesel will grow happily indoors or outdoors in a warm, dry and sunny climate. Indoors it needs 8 to 9 weeks of flowering time and outdoors it will be ready to harvest around the middle of October. The good news for indoor and greenhouse growers, is that even though it’s 60% Sativa, White Diesel actually turns into fairly compact plant. While this strain’s growing range is between 1.2M (indoor minimum) and 1.8M (outdoor maximum), it tends to grow to about 1.5M regardless of whether it is grown indoors or outdoors.
We’ve classed White Diesel as a moderately difficult grow purely because it’s a photoperiod strain. Which means that indoor growers will need to manage light cycles. White Diesel is very straightforward to grow thanks to its hugely robust genetics. Both White Widow and NYC Diesel were bred from landrace strains, which makes up it’s strong resistance.
White Diesel isn’t likely to need all that much in the way of food and water. As it doesn’t grow particularly big. What it does need is enough space to stretch upwards and outwards without bumping into its neighbours. The only serious mistake you can make with White Diesel marijuana seeds is planting them too close together. This is just asking for mould. Give your seeds more space and air flow. This should be enough to protect your precious bud.
The only other possible issue to note is that of odour control. Diesel is a scent which divides opinion and even if you love it, you may find it gets to be too much of a good thing in a small growing space. Outdoors, you really need to think about the way the wind usually blows if you want to stay on good terms with your neighbours.
When it comes to taste, White Diesel is a strain you either really love or really don’t. The clue is in the name, this is a diesel strain and if you’ve read this far, presumably you’re fine with that. In addition to the diesel, there’s skunk pungenc, the sweetness of wood and the citrus freshness of lemon. Interestingly, the base notes of the aroma are much more skunk than diesel. The wood element also largely disappears although the citrus notes remain.
White Widow has long been admired for its good looks, as well as its good effects and White Diesel takes after its mother in that regard. In other words, what you’ll probably notice first is the sheer quantity of sparkling white trichomes coating the green nugs. All that THC makes these nugs seriously sticky!
